Living in a wooded area on the side of a hill sometimes can be challenging with the deer eating the vegetation I want to keep. You can read about their latest doings in the blogpost on Sept 2oth. But the pleasure of living among the wildife far out weighs the damage they do.
Here are some pictures taken in the past year.

you have a veritable zoo in your back yard. lol. we have deer, squirrels, snakes...yeah we live in the woods too. smiles.
Cool...i'd be sitting in my lawn chair with the binnoculars all the time if i had that going on in my backyard! Wild!
this is great. I too live in a rural area. my back yard abuts USFS woods. we see wild turkeys, black bear, red fox, white tail deer, moose and I once saw a fisher cat (a particularly voracious weasel). I saw three deer yesterday on my drive home up the mtn on which we live. I was thrilled. I never get over the thrill of seeing them in the wild.
Looks like you live in some beautiful country there. If I had something like that in my backyard, I'd invest in a really good camera with a telephoto lens! Happy Theme Thursday!
Looks like dinner is served! What? Thems some good eats strolling past the window LOL:)
Nice! Would be at the window all the time there!
Wild turkey, wild deer ... my goodness it must be like Piccadilly Circus there.
Love the wildlife and agree it is a pleasure to see them despite the damage they sometimes do!
Particularly like the cardinal.
Thanks for sharing your wild life. I live in suburbs and see insects, squirrels and dogs and cats...Happy TT.
I totally agree. I can't grow fruit trees thanks to the wild things in my garden. Cockatoos! Huge, white noisy boys that take every orange off the tree to devour the pips! I can buy oranges - the wildlife comes free!
I just came back form a long trip to the West and saw Custer State park and the Badlands and Yellowstone ...all very wild! Love it out there!
It would be so cool to have wild turkeys waltzing through your yard! :)
No wildlife here. But it's nice to get a glimpse of yours!
as another New Englander, I greatly enjoy the wildlife in all it's variety. Great wild TT post
I love your pictures; reminds me of home in upstate New York. I kind of miss the wildlife now that I live in a big city!
